Mark Walker  is the Managing Director of Exped Adventure, a highly experienced Expedition Leader and Climbing Guide with over 20 years of mountaineering experience. Mark has led a variety of expeditions to the far corners of the globe. He specialises in technical mountaineering and remote trekking expeditions. Mark grew up in the English Lake District and knows the area inside out. He has put up new routes in the Lake District, winter and summer climbing, as well as on the Isle of Skye. He has climbed Himalayan peaks including Tharpa chuli and Singu chuli, and led expeditions to Morocco, Jordan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi and India.

Matt Stapley is an experienced outdoor instructor and has been in the industry for 12 years. He has worked with clients all over the UK, Peru, and Europe and has extensive mountaineering experience in America, North Africa and Western and Eastern Europe. Matt’s personal interests include multiday mountain marathons, ultra marathons and triathlons.

Rich Maywhort has 30 years experience of climbing and mountaineering, with 15 of those years as a professional Mountaineer and Climbing instructor. He has climbed and led clients extensively over the breadth of the UK and in the Alps. With Climbing and Mountaineering experience over Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Canada, Slovenia, Greece, random islands and North Africa.

Sam Hill grew up climbing in the Lake District and eventually turned his love for adventure into a career. Sam has had 10 years of experience working in the outdoor industry and holds the International Mountain Leader, and Winter Mountain Leader awards. He is an active and experienced mountaineer, skier and runner. He currently lives and guides in the Swiss Alps, but has worked all over the world and has climbed, and led expeditions to such places as Bolivia, Peru, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Jordan and Borneo. As well as this, Sam is an active long-distance runner and is always looking for the next race to run.

Kristina Wetter originally from Germany and no residing in the Lake District has been involved in leading adverytourous activities for the last 15 years, and climbing, skiing, and trekking personally fgor some 25-30 years! Kristina has led international expeditons all over the glove and has completed expeditions such as: Kilimajaro, Everest Base Camp, Toubkal, treks in Northern India and South America to name but a few .

Dan Morgan is a highly experienced mountaineer and adventurer with over 40 years of climbing mountains and crags and skiing up hills under his belt. The seeds were sown in the 1970’s with trips to Yosemite Valley and the French Alps where the desire for adventures on steep rock faces gave a new direction to his life. A career change in his early 20’s led to 30 years as an academic teaching and managing at a number of UK universities. Early retirement  gave vent to his adventurous nature and leading expeditions in the Himalayas, Africa and South America. Scandinavia and the Alps are now firm favourites with regular ski trips always involving skiing up as well as down.  Dan is a qualified mountain leader with the summer, winter and international awards along with the MCI and ski touring awards. He lives in Staveley, Lakes District where he regularly climbs local crags, runs the fells and chops logs! Great exercise!

Lyndon Chatting-Walters has worked extensively in the outdoor industry as a professional climbing guide and expedition leader. He has climbed and guided around the world over the last 10 years including the Himalayas, South America, South East Asia and many other far flung places as well as 15 years of jungle knowledge. He enjoys spending his time on multi day expeditions and routes. If it has snow, ice and rock he is happy. When he is not on expeditions he spends his time working as a life coach for various clients and enjoys the multiple options of adventure from his doorstep.

Sam Westcott has led many expeditions for Exped Adventure, including Morocco, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Poland and Corsica. He is an experienced International Mountain Leader and Winter Mountain Leader. He has extensive mountaineering experience, including peaks in Nepal and the Alps, Mirror Peak, and Mont Blanc.

Neil Mackay is our highly experienced mountain and ski guide with over 20 years of mountaineering / climbing experience and 30 years of skiing behind him. Neil specialises in guiding trips in the European Alps and the UK in the winter season. Neil Holds the IFMGA award, the highest qualification obtained in the outdoor industry.
